I only have a minimal experience with Harborcreek Youth Services. I've presented two programs there on the topic of Healthy Relationships and Learning How to Set Boundaries. All's I can say is that every time I've been there, the staff has been super friendly and they really do their best at encouraging the youth. They live, work, and breathe something called 'the Sanctuary Model'. This creates a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that really changes the environment to one thats more positive and understanding of the youths' background. HCYS truly seems like a special place with very caring people.
I was a resident here in 08 and it was a terrible experience I did everything I could and at the end of my stay they FTAed me for no reason for that I hope they have gotten better over time
I was in this placement as a juvenile many years ago. I remember a Mr. Lenny from the Peach Street unit and the staff there did an outstanding job. Though I haven't been back in over 15 years I stand by what I say. Excellent programs, facilities and the staff were always there to lend a helping hand.
